Mesenchymal stem cell research
Mesenchymal stem cells are pluripotent and immunosuppressive stem cells, and are expected to be applied to regenerative medicine. In fact, these stem cells are present in various tissues in the oral region. Using these oral stem cells, we are elucidating the pathological control mechanism of various diseases and conducting research and development of advanced medicine.
Bone metabolism control study
We are conducting cutting-edge research on the molecular mechanism of osteoclast differentiation and activation in pathological conditions such as bone destruction associated with inflammation such as periodontal disease and arthritis and bone metastasis of cancer. We are developing a new methodology that prevents only pathological bone destruction while maintaining basic bone remodeling.
